The other day I experienced the prettiest thing!

I was walking outside at about 8:30 am, when the sun was over the mountains, but not too high yet. As the light hit the snow, it was glittering. Which is awfully pretty, always. But this glitter was different - the snow had started to melt the day before, then refroze into these large crystals overnight. So the snow was glittering IN COLOR! Blue, green, orange, red.... it was so beautiful!

As I walked, the colors flashed everywhere! I was hesitant to step in the snow, because I didn't want to ruin ANY of it!

I did get my husband & kids and had them come outside to look.

I grew up in snow, but I never saw that before...

There is a great lady who is doing wonderful things for children in Florida:

International Children Crusade

Her name is Gracia Bennish, and she's begaun a Crusade to "Love and Help Children", which is a precept from The Way to Happiness.

She and other volunteers created "The Friends of Hope Quilt". She's visited the White House and has traveled to other countries where she shares her dream of a better world for all children.

How wonderful!

I had forgotten how blue the sky can be.

Living in Southern California for 10 years made me forget. The sky there is always clear - few clouds. But it's a pale, weak blue.

Today the New Mexico sky is dark, and deep, and the bluest blue I could imagine.

Breathtaking!

I'm looking into community activities I can help with in my new area. I found this great link about Handling Drug Addiction.

What a cold, clear, beautiful night!

The sky is brilliant, with the moon as bright as I can ever remember seeing it!

I'm so happy we made the move out here!
